Lori's Pins 'n Needles was founded in 1980 by Lori Bridwell. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She moved to Paris, IL after being hired by the University of Illinois as the Assistant Home Economics Adviser for Edgar County. She married Daryl Bridwell in 1980. They combined her home economics background with Daryl's business background. Daryl is a graduate of the University of Illinois. In the summer of 1997 Daryl sold his interest in Bridwell's Supermarket and took on the job of working on the Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machines.

Today Lori's Pins 'n Needles is located at 1122 North Main in Paris, Illinois. In the early 1900's the building was built as a horse barn and of course was considered to be in a rural location.  In the early days, the fairgrounds was also part of this property.  In the present, the same structure is currently located within the city limits of Paris and is across from the Dairy Queen.
